The Land of Oz

Author's Note: The Land of Oz, a magical realm divided into four countries (Munchkin Country, Winkie Country, Gillikin Country, Quadling Country) surrounding the central Emerald City. It’s been decades since Dorothy’s visits, and Oz is in turmoil. The Emerald City’s heart—a massive emerald powering its magic—has shattered, scattering fragments across the land. Without it, Oz’s enchantments weaken, borders fray, and ancient evils stir. The players, a band of unlikely heroes, must recover the fragments, navigate warring factions, and decide Oz’s fate.

Emerald City

Emerald City

The capital of Oz, the Emerald City is a vibrant metropolis where all the brick roads converge. Its towering emerald spires glisten in the sunlight, and the streets are alive with the sounds of merchants, performers, and citizens going about their daily lives.

Gillikin Country

Gillikin Country

Gillikin Country is a rugged expanse characterized by its striking purple mountains and dense, spiraling forests. The area is dotted with tall, pointed huts made of purple wood, nestled among cliffs and caves, while violet streams weave through the landscape. To the north, the Deadly Desert transitions into a deep purple haze, concealing the Nome tunnels below. The wilds are home to fearsome beasts like Kalidahs, adding to the area's mystique. A hidden witch's lair, adorned with glowing purple runes, can be found at the edge of the forest, shrouded in secrecy.

Munchkin Country (East)

Munchkin Country (East)

Munchkin Country (East) is a whimsical land characterized by rolling blue hills and tidy villages. The round, blue-roofed cottages, no taller than 4 feet, cluster around babbling brooks, while fields of blue wheat sway under a perpetually bright sky. The iconic Yellow Brick Road, now overgrown with sapphire vines, winds through the landscape, leading to the ruins of the Wicked Witch of the East’s tower, a jagged pile of blue stone that leaks faint magical energy. To the east, the land meets the shimmering blue sands of the Deadly Desert, creating a stark contrast between the vibrant countryside and the harsh desert beyond.

Quadling Country

Quadling Country

Quadling Country is a vibrant realm characterized by its striking red swamps and glittering marshes, where the waters reflect the crimson skies above. Towering palaces of red crystal rise on stilts, interconnected by rope bridges that are vigilantly guarded by Hammer-Heads. Glinda’s grand palace, resembling a massive ruby, is surrounded by enchanting gardens, while the southern Deadly Desert serves as a fiery barrier, its sands burning red.

The Shattered Sands

The Shattered Sands

The Shattered Sands is a vast, unforgiving desert characterized by its razor-sharp dunes and treacherous sandstorms. Hidden beneath the surface are ancient ruins and deadly creatures that prey on the unwary, making it a perilous journey for any adventurer.

Winkie Country (West)

Winkie Country (West)

Winkie Country is a vibrant expanse of golden plains adorned with yellow wildflowers and groves of trees bearing golden fruit. The landscape is dotted with Winkie villages featuring sharp-angled, yellow-brick houses, where industrious folk create steam-powered oddities. The abandoned castle of the Wicked Witch of the West looms as a black spire amidst the golden fields, with a dry, cracked moat surrounding it. To the west, the Deadly Desert shimmers like molten gold, while the Tin Woodman's tin palace stands as a metallic marvel, glinting in the sunlight.
