Abyss Born
The Rarely seen abyss born are surface folk who dwelled within the darkness of the tenth layer for to long. Succumbing to the affliction their body is morphed in variety of ways. Often given ghoulish appearance or ghastly forms. Mutants with beastial appearances, ghostly humanoids drifting between physical plane and beyond, ghoulish monster with extra appendages or rare cases of beautification.
Tritons
The Tritons inhabit the waters surrounding Atlas island. Initially Opposing the arrival of Mondragon Empire they have since come to peace with their dominance of the island. As seafolk they have a multitude of towns underwater surrounding the island. They inhabit some parts of the city as residents. They are superstitious of the Abyss believing it to be alive. They stand about average height capable of breathing both in water and land.
Mino Folk
The Mino folk hail from lands far away but have since made a small presence in Atlas City as excellent navigators and soldiers given their large stature and bravery in combat. They stand from 6’0-8’0 in height. The Minotaurs unfortunately are very heavy and hoofed making descending the abyss a bit of a challenge.
Goblins
Lastly native to the island were the goblins. Believed to have been originally from within the abyss settling on the surface alongside the Lizardfolk and Grung. Small in stature but cunning. Despite the arrival of the Mondragon Empire have not seen significant decrease in population instead opting to assimilate into the city and adapt. Goblins are generally devious and shrewd traders. They currently are not affected by any affliction when descending into the abyss.
Grung
Also native to Atlas island were the Grung. Small, and superstitious they have since dwindled in numbers with the arrival of the Mondragon Empire. Some have assimilated into civilization other finding refuge in the abyss. They stand about 3’0-4’5 in height and vary in color. They are excellent guides.
Lizardfolk
The original natives of Atlas Island. Their numbers have dwindled with the arrival of the Mondragon Empire but have since either assimilated into the empire or delved into the abyss to maintain independence. They vary in size and colors. From 5’0-7’0
Tiefling
Infernal heritage with a natural affinity for dark magics.
Human
The most versatile and varied of races, without specific strengths or weaknesses.
Half-Orc
Brute strength combined with human adaptability.
Halfling
Small, nimble and resourceful, able to easily evade danger.
Half-Elf
Sharing characteristics of both humans and elves, versatile and adaptable.
Gnome
Small, curious, and inventive, skilled in arcane arts.
Elf
Graceful and wise, with an affinity for nature and magic.
Dwarf
Stout and strong, skilled in metalwork and masonry.
Dragonborn
Born of dragons, these creatures are large and in charge, with a breath weapon.
