Description
Nestled within the heart of Wesmere Forest, Illisa is renowned for its master weavers who craft exquisite textiles and silks as well as from forest fibers, spider silks, and moss threads. The village is a vibrant hub of creativity, where the beauty and strength of their fabrics are sought after for clothing, rope, and temporary shelters. Homes feature large, open weaving workshops with specialized looms built into the tree trunks or on sturdy platforms. They utilize natural dyes and their architecture often incorporates woven panels as walls and screens, allowing for ventilation and light.
