Description

Nestled a few streets off the royal boulevard, The Silver Heron is one of Weldyn’s oldest and most respected taverns. Its timber frame leans a little from age, and ivy clings to the weathered stone base. A carved wooden heron perches above the door, wings spread wide, polished smooth by rain and the hands of countless patrons who touch it for luck as they enter. Inside, the atmosphere is lively with soldiers, merchants, scholars, and wanderers. The scent of spiced stew and fresh bread fills the air, blending with the sharper tang of ale and pipe smoke. A wide hearth burns near the back wall, casting dancing shadows across thick oak beams overhead. The tavernkeeper, Mara Lysten, is a sharp-eyed woman with a quick wit and a quicker hand when it comes to tossing out troublemakers. Notable features include a massive battle-scarred table, an old notice board, small private booths, and a tiny stage for musicians.

Appearance
