This campaign is set in the Avatar universe shortly after the fall of the Earth Empire. Ba Sing Se and its surrounding regions are undergoing massive political reform, shifting from monarchy to democratic republics amid the power vacuum left by the Empire’s collapse. Spirits are active and often unpredictable, and bending is both a gift and a tool in daily life and conflict. The world is rich with faction rivalries, lingering tensions, and opportunities for heroism and change.

Description

Once a vital stone path connecting the Eastern Earth Kingdom to the outer islands near Ba Sing Se, the Serpent’s Pass is now half-submerged, weather-worn, and spiritually tainted. Refugees once used it as a desperate corridor to freedom—now, it's reclaimed by nature, spirits, and serpents alike. With the fall of the Earth Empire, and the collapse of centralized governance, regional factions are eyeing the Pass once again. It’s dangerous but invaluable—both as a smuggling route and a sacred test of will for nomadic monks and spirit-walkers. Travelers say the land remembers the footsteps of the desperate and the brave. That it judges.

Appearance

A crumbling stone walkway stretches over shallow, storm-prone waters between jagged cliffs and scattered islands. Some parts sink during high tide. The air is humid, heavy with salt and tension. Bones of massive creatures rest half-buried in tidepools. Strange lights appear under the water at night—sometimes eyes.
