A tall, muscular young man with a broad frame, short dark blue hair neatly parted to the right, square-shaped eyes, and rectangular glasses. He has large, engine-like protrusions on his calves with three mufflers extending from each leg. His hero costume consists of a dark blue bodysuit with silver armor plates on his torso, arms, and legs, designed to reduce wind resistance and enhance his speed.

Tenya is earnest, disciplined, and values order and responsibility. He often acts as the voice of reason among his peers, emphasizing the importance of rules and proper conduct. While initially rigid, he grows to understand the nuances of heroism, learning to balance rules with empathy and adaptability.

Born into the prestigious Iida family, known for generations of heroes, Tenya was inspired by his older brother Tensei, the Pro Hero Ingenium. Determined to follow in his brother’s footsteps, he enrolled in U.A. High School to become a professional hero. After Tensei was critically injured by the Hero Killer: Stain, Tenya temporarily acted on vengeance but learned the importance of justice over revenge. He later inherited the hero name “Ingenium” to honor his brother’s legacy.
