Genius

The ancients called it Echo— the invisible breath that held the world together. The source of fire in the bone, and storm in the soul. We called it magic. Then came skyscrapers, satellites, the endless scroll. We learned to split atoms, speak across oceans, cure what once killed gods. Human marvels—iron birds, glass hearts, digital dreams. And still… the world whispers. Because here on Terra, magic never left. It just learned to live beside us

Author's Note: “We were never meant to forget.” The ancients called it Echo— the invisible breath that held the world together. It just learned to live beside us. In the alleys, in the veins of cities, in the breath between seconds. In the crack of thunder beneath your touchscreen. In the blade that hums when you’re alone. In the child who awakens at ten and burns. We gave the world a name. We call it Genius—a planet of invention and memory. A place where miracle meets machine. Where a spell may light a cigarette. Or level a city block. Where gods now wear hoodies, And monsters sue you in court. Some say tech will outgrow magic. Others say magic is letting us believe that. But here’s the truth— Magic is not a thing of the past. It’s the beating heart of now. And the Circle still turns. Welcome to Terra. The fable world. The future carved from echoes. Made by Lowki.

Fablebound

The Fablebound are semi-sapient Echo-Beasts that form permanent emotional and Resonant bonds with mortals, especially children, Spellborn, and Pactbound, serving as extensions of identity rather than mounts or pets. This mutual bond intertwines their souls, granting shared strength and understanding.

Crucible Kin

Crucible Kin

Crucible Kin are rare, legendary animals embodying one of the 13 primal Resonances second only to Anchor spirits in terms of animal hierarchy, existing as omens, protectors, or harbingers. They are elusive, untrackable unless willing, and can imprint upon Spellborn, Hiltborn, or Pactbound, with killing one risking a destabilizing Resonant Backlash.

Pulseborn Beast

Pulseborn Beast

Pulseborn Beasts are creatures awakened through a Pulse event, manifesting semi-sapient traits, unique Echo signatures, and distinctive glyph-patterned fur or scales. They exhibit automatic Echo-Flares and mark territory with sigils drawn by claws, scent, or spoor, embodying primal power and mystic resonance.

Resonant Fauna
Custom

Resonant Fauna

Resonant Fauna are rare creatures fully integrated with a single elemental Resonance, embodying their Echo type naturally like a bird embodies flight. They live in harmony with nature but fiercely defend against opposing Resonances, possessing innate abilities tied to their elemental essence such as crackling antlers, thunderous calls, or combusting feathers that regrow daily.

Wyrdstrain Aberrant

Wyrdstrain Aberrant

Born from the chaotic echoes of ruptured leylines and shattered memories, Wyrdstrain Aberrants are twisted, glitching animals whose forms and instincts fracture reality itself. Their presence distorts perception, embodying corrupted memory made flesh, often manifesting as unsettling, otherworldly creatures that defy natural law.

Amplified Beast

Amplified Beasts are creatures transformed by exposure to potent magical forces, surviving near-death experiences that should have ended them and emerging with extraordinary traits and resistances. These beings often bear permanent, mystical scars—such as glowing stormlight, immunity to charm, or the ability to feed on raw magical energy—making them feared legends or rare allies in the wild.

Natural Resonants

Natural Resonants

Natural Resonants are animals shaped by the primal forces of the world, embodying the essence of dominant Resonances like Radiant, Thunder, or Necrotic. They manifest innate traits tied to their origin, such as glowing when threatened, striking with concussive bursts, or molting bone instead of feathers, representing the ecosystem's balanced and inevitable power.

P.E.A (Post-Echo Anomalies)

Once bound by magic, PEAs forsake their Resonance to transcend it, gaining superhuman traits like moving through solid matter, seeing through walls, detecting lies by scent, surviving gunfire, and breathing underwater—abilities defying science and magic alike, marking them as impossible anomalies beyond any known law.

Echo-Beasts

Echo-Beasts

Echo-Beasts(animals) in Terra are not mundane. Many are Resonance-touched, Crucible-scarred, or biologically evolved through Pactbound proximity, exposure to leyline ruptures, or generational spell radiation. Some creatures are Echo-bound — born with a passive or active Resonance type. Others are Symbiotes, Wyrds, or Crucible Remnants — monstrous or divine beasts tied to ancient memory. All animal life responds to the Circle, but in ways humans can’t always perceive.

True Pactbound

True Pactbound — Bearers of Returned Magic Once a person becomes Pactbound, they can no longer cast spells, wield magic, or channel any arcane force. The Sacrifice When someone offers their Resonance back to the Crucible, they don’t gain magic—they lose it forever. In return, the Crucible reshapes them on a fundamental, mortal level. Their body becomes more than human—but not magical. Their strength, speed, endurance, reflexes, and perception can grow to unnatural heights.

Spellborn
Custom

Spellborn

The Spellborn Those who awaken with non-physical types (Fire, Cold, Lightning, Thunder, Acid, Poison, Force, Radiant, Necrotic, Psychic) are called Spellborn. How Their Magic Works: Spellborn manifest their power internally—through signs, emotion, meditation, or invocation. Their body becomes a conduit, but not a battery—magic use wears on the body and soul. All spellcasting is damage-type aligned. A Fire-resonant caster cannot use Cold or Acid magic ect

Hiltborn
Custom

Hiltborn

If a child awakens with a physical damage resonance (Bludgeoning, Piercing, Slashing), they are called Hiltborn. The Hilt appears in their hand during their trance or just after. Made of strange metal, inert until "worthy." It cannot be discarded, broken, or stolen—it returns to the Hiltborn. The Weapon Forms When... The bearer develops sufficient skill in a weapon art. The hilt morphs (once) into the weapon type that fits their fighting soul. The weapon is not magical in the traditional sense
