He is methodical and patient, often detached from the living, viewing souls as tools or resources rather than beings. His presence unnerves others, but he commands respect through his mastery of morbid arts and unwavering dedication to the theocracy's dark goals.

Zylos dedicated his life to pushing the boundaries of Mournsong's grim purpose, experimenting with increasingly dangerous "morbid rituals" to "extract knowledge and power from the deceased." He has personally bound hundreds of "unquiet spirits" and ancient entities to serve the theocracy, often at great risk to his own sanity, bearing the "violent spiritual backlash" for his art. He oversees the "Mortuary Rites Collegium," teaching students how to safely commune with and twist souls, emphasizing that sacrifice is merely a tool for achieving dominance over death itself.
