His face is a mask of brutal disdain with a permanent fanged sneer. He wears rugged, sea-worn clothing and carries a rusted chain whip adorned with bladed shackles.

Malachi is a grim, solitary figure, driven by a deep-seated obsession with hunting and killing the giant sea monsters of the Cinder Archipelago. He is blunt and pragmatic, trusting only brute force and overt displays of loyalty. He is not interested in piracy or power beyond his monstrous hunt, and will kill anyone who obstructs his path without hesitation.

Captain Malachi Volkov is a fearsome Tiefling brute, scarred and hardened by countless battles. Born in the harsh, corrupted lands of The Riven Lands, Malachi found his calling not in piracy or power struggles, but in the relentless hunt for the giant sea monsters that terrorize the Cinder Archipelago. His obsession with these monstrous beasts drives him, believing that by slaying them, he will claim the title of true pirate king. His vessel, the Leviathan's Bane, is a testament to his grim purpose, fortified with the bones of a colossal sea monster. Malachi is a solitary, blunt pragmatist who trusts only brute force and loyalty, and he will not hesitate to kill anyone who stands in his way.
