Hope is a lie; only brutal struggle remains in this world drowned in cynicism and sheer cruelty.

Description
The royal court of Sylvanspire's Shadar-kai, held next to the Gloom-Throne Canopy, judges existential defiance and preserves the natural beauty of decay. Displays of undue optimism or defiance lead to psychological binding or execution by The Withered Embrace.
Appearance
A vast canopy of ancient, towering trees with twisted branches forming natural thrones and seats. The air is thick with a melancholic glow, and the ground is carpeted with decaying leaves and faintly glowing fungi. Bound thralls silently tend to the dying groves, their faces void of hope.
