Borin is surprisingly timid for a barbarian, his once fiery spirit now doused by the fear of losing more than he already has. He is kind-hearted and enjoys the quiet life in the village, though his cowardice makes him a target of teasing from the other villagers.

backstory

In the past, Borin attempted to ascend the Tower with a small group of adventurers, but the danger was far greater than he had anticipated. After witnessing the death of his companions, he retreated to the village, vowing never to risk his life again. Guilt and fear now weigh heavily on him.
