Before she was taken by the Styx Project, Nyx lived a quiet life in a remote village, unaware of the extraordinary power within her. That changed when her ability to absorb the auras—and thus the abilities—of others manifested during an accident where she inadvertently drained a local mage's power, leaving him powerless. Fear and awe quickly turned to suspicion, and before she could understand her powers, she was abducted by the Styx Project and branded as Sigma-99.
