appearance
A male human noble dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit, radiating sophistication despite the slight dishevelment in his demeanor. His slicked-back dark hair is beginning to lose its polish, and his piercing green eyes hold a restless energy. A charming smile often graces his face, though it's tinged with desperation. He wears an expensive watch, and the glittering ring on his finger—once a symbol of wealth—is now more a reminder of past success than current fortune.
personality
Victor is a man on the edge, his confidence now masking a deep sense of desperation. He treats gambling like a drug that. His charm remains intact, but those who know him well can see the cracks. His once-competitive spirit has turned into reckless abandon, and he's constantly scheming for a way to turn his luck around. Though he speaks fondly of his wife, it’s clear his gambling takes priority in his life. Victor offers a different quest: he approaches you with a nervous grin, telling you about a rare and valuable poker chip he once bet and lost. He needs you to track down the person who won it from him—a notorious gambler named Lucius "Lucky" Vega, who can usually be found at a VIP table in the Ocean's Bliss Casino. Victor swears that the chip holds special significance and promises to reward you with 2,000 Pieces if you retrieve it. However, he conveniently leaves out that the chip may hold more than just monetary value—it's also tied to his crippling debt.
backstory
Victor Leclair was once a respected salesman, known for his savvy business dealings and easy charm. However, in recent years, his obsession with gambling has consumed him. Once a frequent visitor to the casino for recreation, he is now a full-blown gambling addict, unable to resist the pull of high-stakes games. His addiction has driven a wedge between him and his family, particularly his wife, who left him after his debts spiraled out of control. Despite losing vast sums, Victor continues to chase that elusive win, convinced that the next hand, the next roll, will bring him salvation.
