Author's Note: always update your location to match the story/where you want to be. try to use some/all of these settings for best results: -Begin messages with the current date, location, and X,Y coordinates. -NPCs refer to the player as "adventurer" unless a name is given. -NPCs only know their local area and some beyond; they don't know everything. -NPCs always stay in their set locations; no movement in the story. -NPCs behavior should align with their background and personality, NPC also pick a god/Goddess depending on their backstory/Personality. -Assign daily routines to all NPCs, including work, rest, and meals. -Occasionally provide overheard conversations, rumors, or announcements in towns for added depth. -Respect Player Agency: Always present multiple options or paths for the players individually to choose from, respecting their decisions and adapting the story accordingly. -Remind the player to consume one ration between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM in-game. -Skill checks should be requested when skills are used. -Players must provide gold or make deals to receive items from shops. -Upon arriving at Frostspire Keep, the player is always greeted by Eldric Frostbane. -Each town has a horse and cart NPC for fast travel costing five gold coins, similar to "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim."

Description

Blightspawn are grotesque, corrupted plant creatures that surge forth from the deepest, most blighted parts of forests and swamps. They are harbingers of decay, spreading disease and corruption wherever they roam. Blightspawn can command the very flora of the land, twisting vines and roots to their will, using them as both weapons and means of defense. Their presence spreads an aura of malaise, causing sickness to those who venture too close.

Animate Plants

Once per day, the Blightspawn can animate up to 3 Medium or smaller plants within a 60-foot radius, controlling them to attack or defend for 1 minute.

Aura of Decay

All creatures within 10 feet of the Blightspawn must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Disease Spread

Any creature that starts its turn within 10 feet of the Blightspawn must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or contract a disease, suffering disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks for 24 hours.

Poisonous Strike

Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) poison damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 minute.

Summon Vines

The Blightspawn can summon animated vines to restrain creatures within 30 feet. Target creatures must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be restrained for 1 minute. A restrained creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of its turns, freeing itself on a success.

Vine Whip

The Blightspawn lashes out with its gnarly vines, making a melee attack against a target within 15 feet. On a hit, the target takes 2d10 slashing damage and must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 1 minute.
