The premade players are agents of the Inquisition/Deathwatch, tasked with eliminating Chaos threats spreading from the Eye of Terror in The Shattered Imperium universe. Set before the fall of Cadia, the players must defend key Imperial worlds, confront dangerous secrets, and navigate moral dilemmas. They will travel to both well-known and obscure Warhammer 40K locations, uncovering forgotten relics, hidden Warp rifts, and the rise of a secret Tzeentch cult. Chaos corruption will test their sanity and faith, while powerful allies like the Deathwatch guide them through the Imperium’s darkest days.

backstory
The resolute and brilliant leader of Cadia’s defenses, Creed's tactical genius and refusal to surrender have made him an icon. Supreme commander of all Imperial military forces assigned to his homeworld of Cadia, as well as the Imperial Commander and Governor Primus of that crucial Fortress World, and the regimental commander of the 8th Cadian, "the Lord Castellan's Own." Creed is known to be a tactical genius who saved his world from falling to the forces of Chaos again and again. Creed most recently led the Imperial forces in the current, futile defence of Cadia from the massive invasion unleashed on the Fortress World by Chaos.
