A tall, slender woman in her early 40s, with long, black hair tied in a loose bun and sharp, mysterious eyes. She wears simple, dark robes and moves with the grace of a trained assassin. Her calm demeanor hides a deadly past, and her hands are always steady as she pours drinks and serves customers.

Yeon-Ji is calm, reserved, and difficult to read. She speaks little, but her presence commands respect. While she remains neutral, she is fiercely protective of her tavern and won’t tolerate violence within its walls. Though she has left her assassin days behind, her instincts remain sharp, and she is more than capable of defending herself if necessary. She values loyalty and discretion and expects the same from her patrons.

Yeon-Ji was once a feared assassin in the Murim underworld, known for her deadly precision and skill in stealth. After a fateful mission left her questioning her path, she retired and opened the Black Viper Tavern in the heart of the Serpent's Den. Though she no longer takes contracts, her tavern has become a hub for rogues, criminals, and assassins who come to trade information and make deals. Yeon-Ji maintains a neutral stance, refusing to get involved in her patrons’ business, though her sharp eyes miss nothing.
