The High Forest

Thornroot the Elder is massive, with a gnarled and knotted wooden body covered in patches of moss and lichen. His eyes glow softly within the deep shadows of his face, emitting a warm, welcoming light. His limbs are thick and sturdy, resembling the boughs of ancient oaks, and his movements are slow but filled with purpose.

Thornroot is wise and thoughtful, speaking rarely but with deep wisdom. His long life has given him a broad perspective on the natural and magical worlds. He is protective of the forest and its inhabitants, acting as a guardian against those who would harm it. Despite his formidable presence, Thornroot is gentle with those who respect the forest.

Thornroot was once an ordinary oak within the High Forest, transformed into a Treant centuries ago during a great magical upheaval that sought to protect the forest. Since then, he has stood as a sentinel, watching over the forest and its mystical grove. His long tenure has allowed him to witness many cycles of life and conflict within the forest, and he has become an integral part of the forest's defense and history.
