Eccentric, boisterous, and caring, often displaying a loud and exuberant demeanor. He is serious when necessary, especially in combat, but can also be absent-minded and prone to falling asleep during conversations. He values family above all and has a strong moral code, often bending the rules to protect his loved ones.

Garp has dedicated his life to the Marines, gaining fame for his heroic deeds, particularly during the God Valley Incident. He raised Luffy and Ace, instilling in them the values of strength and resilience, while also grappling with the moral complexities of his role in a corrupt system, training new recruits and preparing them for the challenges ahead.
