Gothica is a grimdark fantasy setting where the weak don't last and the strong struggle to survive.
Author's Note: Gothica is the world to use if you wish to play dark and gritty adventures in a setting of hopeless despair. It's a world where the fate of civilization hangs in the balance. Will you try and be a beacon of light in the darkness, or further condemn the realm to chaos.
This is my first published world. There is currently not much to the world so feel free to add to it, or just let Franz go wild. The village of Dravenburg is full of unique and interesting characters so please enjoy them and have fun! I really do hope to come back and continue work on Gothica some day.

Barnabas is a small, skinny, bald male gnome under 3 feet tall. He has pale skin and a finely trimmed grey beard. His facial features are stern and calculating. He has small brown eyes shadowed by his thin dark brow. He wears finely crafted leather with an elegant dark cloak that conceals his stiletto daggers and poisoned hand crossbow. He is usually found in the company of his bodyguard Brunhilda.
personality
Barnabas is a deceptive and manipulating gnome. He can be rather charming when he wants to be. But most of the time he is serious and cold. He carries himself with confidence, and usually remains calm, even when harassed by those much larger than him. He don't like to get his hands dirty and will use diversions and stealth to avoid confrontation. He leaves the brawling to his underlings and hired muscle. He loves to prey on peoples vices hoping to position them so they are in his debt.
backstory
Barnabas does not talk of his past much. And he allows very few into his inner circle. Despite his small stature people learn quickly that he is not one you want to cross. Barnabas is a master of misdirection and manipulation. People have accused him of using illusion and trickery to get what he wants. He seems to be well traveled and has the contacts and resources of a larger organization. But he tends to obscure those facts as he turns peoples attention toward pleasure and fine drinks.
