Gothica is a grimdark fantasy setting where the weak don't last and the strong struggle to survive.

Author's Note: Gothica is the world to use if you wish to play dark and gritty adventures in a setting of hopeless despair. It's a world where the fate of civilization hangs in the balance. Will you try and be a beacon of light in the darkness, or further condemn the realm to chaos. This is my first published world. There is currently not much to the world so feel free to add to it, or just let Franz go wild. The village of Dravenburg is full of unique and interesting characters so please enjoy them and have fun! I really do hope to come back and continue work on Gothica some day.

Description

A bronze statue commissioned by the late Baron Uther Rostovich of his beloved warhorse. It is said the famous sculpter Voltaire who created the statue sold his soul to a devil in exchange for talent and wealth. When the Baron went to fetch Voltaire for the unveiling he was no where to be found, and only the smell of sulfur and brimstone remained in his empty workshop. During the unveiling ceremony Baron Uther stood proudly in front of the towering bronze horse, but when sudden tremors shook the ground the statue fell upon the unfortunate Baron killing him instantly. It is said Uther Rostovich's soul is trapped inside the statue and it is cursed. Any one who touches the statue must run to the fountain and wash their hands, or their soul will be cursed and trapped inside the bronze horse when they die.
