Gothica

An arcane tower inhabited by a reclusive wizard known as Etrigan the Wise. Etrigan has warded his tower with magic and usually only accepts visitors who have been formerly invited, which rarely happens. Those who get close to the tower feel the sensation that they are being watched. Villagers warn that stone gargoyles will come to life and swoop down on unwanted guests. Etrigan has come to the defense of Dravenburg in the past. But these instances have been rare or when the village is faced with extremely dire circumstances. Some say Etrigan made a pact with the Rostovich family long ago. Others speak to the fact that Etrigan chose Dravenburg because it is secluded and out of the way. There is another tale that suggests Etrigan used to be the Grand Magus in service to the King, but they had a falling out and Etrigan was banished to the arcane tower in Dravenburg. Only Etrigan knows the truth which he never confirms nor denies.
