appearance
Morpheus took the form of a man with gray hair and blue eyes. As the god of dreams, Morpheus doesn't cast a shadow even at midday and shimmers as he moves like a mirage. His face cannot be made out, as it shimmers and changes when looked upon.
personality
Though ultimately a heroic character, Dream has many flaws. He has trouble catching sarcasm and jests, causing him to often appear cold and humorless. Dream can be insensitive, self-obsessed, and slow to forgive or forget what he perceives as slights. He has a long history of broken romances, and is shown, both directly and by implication, to be prone to harsh reactions when his relationships fail.
backstory
Morpheus is the Greek god of dreams and leader of the Oneiroi. His Roman counterpart is Somnia. He came into existence once sentient lifeforms capable of dreaming appeared in the universe. When Percy Jackson and Nico di Angelo wake Grover Underwood up to get his help to enter the Underworld, Grover tells them what had happened. During June in the woods in Harlem Meer, Grover saw Morpheus, who was scouting the battlefield before the battle and put Grover to sleep for two months. During the Battle of Manhattan, Morpheus casts a huge sleeping spell with the help of Hecate, causing all of the mortals in Manhattan or near the area to fall asleep.
