appearance
Nike is a tall and beautiful goddess, wearing a glittering sleeveless dress, with her dark hair in piled-up braids circled with a gilded laurel wreath. Her expression is usually wide-eyed and a little crazy. She wields a gold-tipped spear, and has wings of polished gold, which glitter so brightly, that Leo claims that had they been solar panels, Nike "would have produced enough energy to power Miami." She usually rides a golden chariot pulled by two white horses.
personality
She had a strong desire to win due to her title as the goddess of victory. She was often depicted as being confident and proud of herself. She believed in her abilities and had a strong sense of self-belief. She is often associated with Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war, and Zeus, the king of the Gods. Due to her close relationship with both, she became their divine charioteer and is often depicted as such.
backstory
Nike is the Greek goddess of victory, daughter of the Titans Pallas and Styx. She assumes the role of the divine charioteer, a role in which she is often portrayed in Classical Greek art. At Olympia, Nike met Leo Valdez, Percy Jackson, Hazel Levesque and Frank Zhang. As soon as she does, she forces the demigods into the arena to fight to the death using her Nikai, her minions. The demigods manage to subdue her by trapping her in a net but when she tries to curse them she is gagged with a sock. While in captivity, she reveals that one of the Seven will die defeating Gaea and that their only hope of survival is the Physician's Cure. Leo is mentioned to have discussed his plan to defeat Gaea with Nike in secret with Nike and Leo's later conversation with Apollo confirming to Leo what he must do. After the rift was healed between the Greeks and Romans, Nike is released from the Argo II by Leo and she helped the gods and the Seven defeat the giants.
