Description
Sumarbrander, also known as the Sword of Summer, or Jack, is Magnus Chase's sword and companion. He was formerly owned by Magnus’s father, Frey. He is said to be the sharpest sword in the Nine Worlds. At the sword's request, Magnus renames him Jack after becoming his master. Jack is a sentient blade; he has the ability to speak and understand human language. He likes to flirt with other weapons and is depressed when they don't return his affections. He also holds a deep grudge against Frey.
