Description
The City of Olympia was located on Mount Olympus, and served as a sanctuary to honor the Olympian Gods. It is known for having been the site of the Olympic Games in classical times, the most famous games in history. The first Olympic Games were held in honor of Zeus. However, it has been relocated to the state of Washington in the United States.
