A Tactical Surface Fighter, or TSF, is a large bipedal machine and are a primary weapon system used to combat the BETA. Capable of using up-scaled firearm style armaments and blades, it becomes an extension of the pilot's body. The F-4 and its variants, being the first proof of concept and production model, is the most numerous and prolific TSF across the world. Even while most countries are upgrading to 2nd and 3rd Generation TSFs, the sheer number of Phantoms means it sees continuous usage.
