Description
Having difficulty in developing a native 3rd Generation TSF, Japan decided to introduce the F-15 for research into advanced development technology. Upon acquisition of 12 Eagles, the nation's leaders realized the gulf of technology present and opted to lease the patent for the Eagle, redesigning it into a localized variant, the F-15J or Type-89 Kagerou. Like the Phantom before it, much of the redesign was for compatibility with melee armaments and their mount pylons.
