With the worsening situation in Europe, the USA focused much of its efforts to that part of the world. This left Japan to figure their own solutions, leading to the eventual development of the world's first 3rd Generation TSF, the Type-94 Shiranui. Exclusively in use by Japan and backed UN forces in the far east, the Shiranui is noted as being surprisingly difficult to adjust to due to the leaps in performance and response from Gen 2 to Gen 3. This lead to development of a dedicated trainer TSF.
