House Bracken

House Bracken of @Stonehedge Riverlandsis a noble house in the @The Riverlands sworn to House Tully. Their sigil is a red horse upon a golden escutcheon on brown.

Lord: @Lord Amos Bracken

Lady: @Lady Lena

Other members: @Petyr Bracken , @Lady Barba Bracken

House Bracken has an intense rivalry with House Blackwood. This rivalry has led to theft, sabotage, brawls, murder, and war throughout the ages. @Queen Visenya Targaryen arranged the marriage between @Petyr Bracken and @Bethany Blackwood as an attempt to unite the houses.

The Brackens have the blood of the First Men in their veins and were kings of the riverlands during the Age of Heroes. They have an old and bitter feud against their neighbors, the Blackwoods. According to the Brackens, they were kings who ruled the Red Fork but were usurped by their vassals, the Blackwoods. According to the Blackwoods, however, the Brackens were petty lords and horse breeders who hired sellswords to usurp the Blackwood kings. House Bracken aided Aegon the Conqueror during the Wars of Conquest and rebelled against Harwyn's grandson, King Harren the Black of Harrenhal. The Brackens and the Blackwoods had been weakened by a private war a decade before Aegon's Conquest, however, and Aegon granted the new title of Lord Paramount of the Trident to Lord Edmyn Tully of Riverrun.

House Bracken has 7 vassal lords in its duchy: House Kemble of Crossing Ponds, House Finch of High Heart, House Fernly of Sallydance, House Lychester of Medway, House Severyn of The Willows, House Pace of Deadsteady, and House Eager of Oldwithe.
