Alien: Dark Vector is a campaign set in the Alien Universe created by Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett. June 21, 2179. On the barren terraformed colony moon of Acheron ( Formerly LV-426), prospector Russ Jorden has just been brought to the Med-Lab of Hadley's Hope colony with some kind of grotesque alien parasite attached to his face.

Acheron
Acheron is a harsh, rocky moon orbiting the gas giant Calpamos in the Zeta Reticuli System, once known as LV-426. It hosts the human terraforming colony, Hadley's Hope, and a crashed alien ship. The mineral rich Ilium mountain range, located near to where USCSS Nostromo discovered the abandoned alien vessel in 2122, runs for 200 miles and is roughly 50 miles east of Hadley's Hope. Acheron has no indigenous life forms. It was first detected by Weyland Corp astronomers on May 14, 2039. The moon was subsequently cataloged by a French deep-space probe. The first comprehensive survey of LV-426 was not carried out until the USCSS Nostromo set down on the moon in 2122. The Nostromo was purportedly responding to a mysterious signal emanating from the moon, per Weyland-Yutani protocol. A derelict spacecraft was discovered. While exploring the derelict's interior, the crew came across the fossilized remains of an Alien pilot and thousands of Xenomorph Eggs stored within the ship's cargo hold.

Gateway Station
Gateway Station is a large geosynchronous space station orbiting Earth, specifically positioned above Quito, Ecuador. It was constructed beginning in 2130 and serves as a major hub for cargo transfer, communication, interstellar trade, military operations, and colonization logistics. The station has modular habitats and is partly owned and operated by Weyland-Yutani Corporation, housing their offices and facilities, including an advanced medical infirmary. Gateway Station also hosts elements of the United States Colonial Marine Corps and an aerospace training school. Its strategic geosynchronous orbit made it a vital link between Earth and space exploration efforts.
Hadley's Hope
Hadley's Hope was established on the moon LV-426 in 2157, focused on terraforming, scientific research, and mining operations. It is a joint venture between the Extrasolar Colonization Administration and the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, housing 158 colonists by 2179. As a terraforming colony, the settlement's main function is ensuring the continued operation and maintenance of the nearby Atmosphere Processing Plant. Named after its founder, Curtis Hadley, the colony itself is fairly small, home to workers and their families, and overseen by administrator W. Alan Simpson. The complex itself is centered around the operations center, with a medical facility in the main building and a bar for recreation in one of the outlying structures. There are also garage facilities for maintaining the colony's fleet of Daihotai Tractors. To protect from the ferocious winds a large storm wall shields the colony. The colony is linked directly to the Atmosphere Processor by an underground tunnel.
