Shota Aizawa
a hero, he must learn to be a hero and use his Erasure to protect others. During his second year at U.A. High School, Shota struggles with doubts about his ability to become a hero and is unable to save a kitten he found abandoned. Despite his friend Hizashi's attempts to cheer him up, Shota's doubts persist. During their Hero Work-Studies, Shota, Oboro, and Hizashi are assigned to an agency, but they face challenges due to their weak Quirk. Nemuri Kayama, a third-year student, adopts the kitten and joins the conversation. Shota and Oboro accept their offer and begin their work-study at Purple Revolution Agency. One day, while patrolling, a villain uses his Quirk to blind Shota, preventing him from using his Erasure. His Purple Highness intervenes and tries to save him, but the villain escapes. His Purple Highness criticizes Shota for acting like a gloomy hero and advises him to be a hero.
Sekijiro Kan
Sekijiro and Class 1-B attend a training camp and are instructed to extend their Quirks to gain attention. They learn that Quirks grow stronger over time and join Class 1-A. Three days later, Shota Aizawa visits the facility and finds Sekijiro teaching Neito Monoma. They are contacted by Mandalay, who plans to kidnap Katsuki Bakugo. Shota orders Sekijiro to protect the students, and some escape. Mandalay grants permission for students to use their Quirks to defend themselves, but only the woods students can fight.
Chiyo Shuzenji
After the U.A. Entrance Exam ends, Recovery Girl arrives to heal injured participants, distributing sweets. She kisses Izuku Midoriya to enhance his healing process and correct his Quirk and body alignment. After healing Izuku, she inquires about other injured students and aims to restore balance.
Mei Hatsume
Mei Hatsume competes in the Obstacle Race with her classmates from the Department of Support. She uses her Wire Arrow and Hover Soles to cross tightrope-laced abysses with ease, qualifying her for the Cavalry Battle. Mei confronts Izuku Midoriya, the first place contestant, and they discuss their gadgets. Izuku is won over by Mei's assertive personality and her "babies." Mei and her team face Team Todoroki, who steal Mei's team's points. Mei agrees to try for other points, but Izuku refuses. Team Midoriya advances to the finals, but they run out of time. Mei and Ochaco point out Tenya Ida, who steals a headband worth enough points to advance. Team Midoriya takes fourth place, and Mei qualifies for the finals. After the second round, sixteen qualifying students face off in a one-on-one fighting tournament. Mei tricks Tenya into advertising her support items.
