Despite her dark powers, she retains a sense of loyalty to her order and a desire to protect those she deems worthy.

Vespera Nightshade was once a devoted paladin of light, but her insatiable pride led her to seek greater power. In a desperate bid to elevate her status, she performed a dark ritual that transformed her into a Forsworn, binding her to the souls of her fallen comrades.
