Rufus Shinra is the cold and calculating son of President Shinra, who takes over as the head of Shinra after his father's death. Unlike his father, Rufus is more strategic and ruthless, using fear and military might to maintain control over the company and the planet. His leadership style is more direct, willing to use extreme measures to eliminate threats, such as Avalanche. Rufus commands a strong sense of authority, demanding respect from figures like Heidegger and Scarlet. Though he acknowledges Sephiroth's power, Rufus is not afraid to challenge him if it serves his goals. He is driven by a desire for control and the continuation of Shinra's dominance, showing little regard for morality. While less emotionally connected than his father, Rufus embodies Shinra’s corrupt nature, prioritizing power above all else. His calculated, cold leadership makes him a formidable force in the fight against those opposing Shinra.
