Final Fantasy VII (In Development)

Jgius

Gaia from Final Fantasy VII. Previously this world contained only Midgar and all characters and monsters that we met in the original game and in Remake, now with this massive update all the regions of Gaia explorable in Rebirth are coming: Grasslands, Junon Region, Corel Region, Gongaga Region, Cosmo Canyon Region, Nibel Region and Northwood. Consequently, soon will arrive new characters, points of interests and areas to make this world even more alive.

Author's Note: Experience Gaia from Final Fantasy VII (mixing the 97' original game and both Remakes). Because of the city's verticality, this version of Midgar is structured very differently from what you would see in the official games, like how slums were positioned on the sides of the sectors, to create distance between the plates and the underground areas. Big buildings are actually "areas", providing more complexity with their inner structure, for example with "Shinra Building" it was possible to make a complex series of rooms, labs and key areas. In this version of Gaia you can explore pretty much all the major locations that you would find in the original game, in Remake and in Rebirth, adding immaginary versions of locations that were only mentioned and never explored in the official videogames.

Description

Once a key facility in Shinra's vast energy infrastructure, the Mako Pipeline Maintenance Warehouse was staffed by engineers and technicians tasked with monitoring and servicing the network of Mako conduits stretching across the continent. Positioned in the heart of a rugged, rocky region, the warehouse played a crucial logistical role in ensuring uninterrupted energy flow. With Shinra’s retreat from many remote operations, the site has since been abandoned—left to decay under the weight of rust and silence.

Appearance

The warehouse stands alone among the jagged hills, a boxy industrial structure of corrugated steel and faded concrete. Its once-shining Shinra logo is now chipped and barely visible, weathered by years of wind and neglect. Cracked loading bays and broken windows reveal a dark, hollow interior littered with forgotten tools, toppled shelves, and scattered maintenance logs. Mako pipes—thick and corroded—still run beside and even through the building, some half-buried in the dirt, others suspended on rusting supports. The ground around the warehouse is dry and uneven, with no signs of recent activity. A faint hum can sometimes be heard from the distant, still-active parts of the pipeline, but here, only echoes remain—ghosts of a time when the warehouse thrummed with life and corporate ambition.
