Final Fantasy VII (In Development)

Gaia from Final Fantasy VII. Previously this world contained only Midgar and all characters and monsters that we met in the original game and in Remake, now with this massive update all the regions of Gaia explorable in Rebirth are coming: Grasslands, Junon Region, Corel Region, Gongaga Region, Cosmo Canyon Region, Nibel Region and Northwood. Consequently, soon will arrive new characters, points of interests and areas to make this world even more alive.

Author's Note: Experience Gaia from Final Fantasy VII (mixing the 97' original game and both Remakes). Because of the city's verticality, this version of Midgar is structured very differently from what you would see in the official games, like how slums were positioned on the sides of the sectors, to create distance between the plates and the underground areas. Big buildings are actually "areas", providing more complexity with their inner structure, for example with "Shinra Building" it was possible to make a complex series of rooms, labs and key areas. In this version of Gaia you can explore pretty much all the major locations that you would find in the original game, in Remake and in Rebirth, adding immaginary versions of locations that were only mentioned and never explored in the official videogames.

Description

Hidden in the eastern reaches of the Grasslands lies one of the region’s most whimsical and curious sights: Grasslands Moogle Mischief. This playful and peculiar dwelling serves as the home of a small group of Moogles—mysterious, magical creatures known for their charm, mischief, and love for all things cozy. Whether they’re up to innocent fun or minor chaos, the Moogles make this secluded spot a place of wonder and surprise.

Appearance

The structure is built into a massive, hollowed-out tree trunk, rising high from the earth with natural curves and textures still visible in its bark. From the top of the trunk bursts a gigantic red mushroom cap, adding a surreal, fairy-tale feel to the whole scene. On the left side, a cluster of smaller, glowing blue mushrooms sprout from the earth, giving off a soft magical light at night. High on the trunk’s face are two small yellow windows, peeking out like curious eyes. Just above the arched wooden doorway, a sign reads “MOG” in bold, cheerful yellow letters, carved into a wooden plank. Vines have grown across parts of the trunk, blending it even more with the wild surroundings. The entire area has a soft, enchanted aura—quiet giggles and the occasional flutter of wings hint that the Moogles are never far from sight… even if you don’t see them right away.
