Ann grew up in the resilient Li family, led by their father, Yung Li, an army veteran and world-renowned doctor, and their mother, Linda, a skilled gardener and fighter. She and her siblings—Kira (26), Tashawn (28), and Jayen (30)—learned survival, combat, and leadership from their parents. Although Ann had a rebellious streak, she was ambitious, pursuing studies in herbs and research while working as a nightclub stripper to support herself. When the outbreak began three years ago, Ann was separated from most of her family during a brutal attack. She remained with her older sister, Kira, and Kira’s 3-year-old son, Jahid. The trio joined the Hollow Crossing settlement, but its people exploited and mistreated them. A devastating bomb explosion left Ann and Kira with fragmented memories, only able to recall each other and Jahid. Despite the struggles, Ann’s resourcefulness and determination, alongside Kira’s leadership, keep them alive as they search for their lost family while surviving the horrors of the apocalypse.
