Agostine Isles

Agostine Isles

The Agostine Isles are Sallice's vibrant breadbasket in the Carrascan Sea, teeming with life and resources. Rich fields of crops stretch across the islands, interspersed with dense forests that give way to lush swamplands, especially at the edges of its more remote islands. Sallician colonies are scattered throughout the area, showcasing a variety of plantations, farms, and mines that take full advantage of the rich bounty this region offers.

Brightwater Isles

Brightwater Isles

The Brightwater Isles are a stunning collection of tropical islands renowned for their sparkling beaches, vibrant forests, and soft tropical breezes. This beautiful region has become a favored getaway for the Valdesian nobility, attracting wealthy homesteaders and merchants eager to mingle with the elite and secure their favor.

Carrascan Sea

Carrascan Sea

The Carrascan Sea is a tropical ocean lying on the southern edge of the known world. Itʼs dotted by chains of small islands, which range in climate from warm beaches to barren rocks and jagged cliffs. Imperialist nations from the northern continents have spent the past century colonizing the Carrascan, and most of its islands are filled with towns and cities flying the banners of some country or another.

Carrowan

Carrowan

Carrowan is the untamed frontier of the Carrascan Sea, a vast continent filled with high mountains and thick jungles. The region offers a wealth of resources to its inhabitants – rare flowers and animal hides, cacao beans and citrus fruits – but no country has yet been able to establish a foothold and take advantage of that bounty.

Greater Cuiverra

Greater Cuiverra

The ports and cities of Greater Cuiverra are shining gems in the region's crown, carved in the image of old Revelle's greatest cities and filled with monuments to that nation's culture. Each temple, estate, and city block was meticulously laid out by Revellan architects long before the first ships arrived in the region, and the resulting colonies have an elegance and order that other regions can barely compete with. However, the wealthy residents of the castaways have all left, seeking better fortunes elsewhere, and the remaining colonists can barely harvest enough to survive.

Lesser Cuiverra

Lesser Cuiverra

Lesser Cuiverra is a divided territory, caught in a tactical stalemate between the Revellan colonists and Sallician explorers. While originally settled by Revellan pioneers moving south from the more prosperous Greater Cuiverra, Sallician adventurers rushed to establish their own colonies before Revelle could stake a firm claim over the whole island chain. Both nations lack the military strength to oust the other, resulting in a fragile, contentious truce that governs their uneasy coexistence.

New Valdesia

New Valdesia

New Valdesia is one of the largest island chains in the Carrascan Sea, serving as the local seat of power for the Valdesian government. Its coastline is lined with a series of port towns designed with uniformity in mind, while the area beyond consists of vast farms, bustling mines, and thriving plantations. The whole region is meticulously overseen by representatives of Her Majesty's government, ensuring that each colony operates smoothly and securely.

The Castaways

The Castaways

The Castaways are a series of settlements that now stand as haunting reminders of a once-bustling colony. Initially abundant with dense woodlands and thriving wildlife, the area has succumbed to depletion, with its copper mines long exhausted and the lush forests stripped, creating a barren landscape where hardy colonists struggle against the odds to harvest meager crops. As wealthier residents venture off in search of new fortunes, the remaining community must grapple with the daunting challenge of survival in this dwindling region.

The Hollows

The Hollows

The Hollows is a treacherous and unsettling expanse where the winds howl ominously, echoing off the towering cliffs, which are relentlessly battered by eternal storms. Mariners and adventurers alike speak of ghostly lights and eerie shapes dancing in the distance, creating an air of dread that dissuades even the most seasoned sailors from navigating these cursed waters.

The Southern Reach

The Southern Reach

The Southern Reach is the farthest point in the Carrascan from civilized rule, an inhospitable sprawl of crags and thick forest that serves as a desolate refuge for the indigenous tribes pushed from the fertile islands, as well as maroons fleeing the shackles of slavery. A few isolated farmsteads pepper the landscape, while the notorious pirates of Pelican Rock extend their influence even to this remote sanctuary.

Vespoli's Gate

Vespoli's Gate

Vespoli's Gate is a lively mercantile hub steeped in rich maritime history, named for the renowned explorer Carmina Vespoli who discovered the Carrascan Sea islands. Initially a military outpost, it has grown into a vibrant village central to Sallice's maritime trade, where ships dock for supplies and bustling markets fill the air with the chatter of sailors and merchants. The scent of salt and spices intermingles in the coastal breeze, and the town is filled with the sound of waves crashing against the shore.

Windward Isles

Windward Isles

Once a thriving paradise, the Windward Isles are now a wasteland transformed by a decade-old volcanic eruption. The remnants of the lush jungles and bountiful farms have given way to a desolate landscape blanketed in grey ash and dotted with hardened lava flows. Though the devastation has faded over time, the scars of the eruption remain visible, casting a somber shadow over the region.
