Description

SCP-049 is a humanoid entity resembling a medieval plague doctor, who is obsessively dedicated to 'curing' the affliction it believes to be the 'Pestilence.' It is a highly intelligent being that approaches its victims in a calm yet methodical manner, often leading to a fatal procedure to enact its so-called cure. Despite its serene demeanor, SCP-049’s actions are lethal, and it operates under the belief that death is merely a step towards reanimation.

Actions

Cure Attempt

SCP-049 attempts to cure a creature within 5 feet of it. The target must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 3d10 necrotic damage and is paralyzed until the end of its next turn; on a success, the target takes half damage and isn't paralyzed.

Intimidating Presence

SCP-049 can force a creature within 30 feet to make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns.

Reanimation

If SCP-049 reduces a creature to 0 hit points, it can use its action to attempt to reanimate the fallen creature. The reanimated creature becomes a zombie under SCP-049's control, obeying its commands until destroyed.
