Step into the lives of Vikings in the coastal village of Skogarvik, Norðurland.

Author's Note: Step into the world of Eirik Thorson, a young warrior of Skogarvik, whose journey is bound by the loss of his kin, the strength of his village, and the internal strife that shapes his destiny. Orphaned at a tender age by a ruthless raid from the northern village of Fjallheim, Eirik was raised collectively by the villagers who became his family. As you embody Eirik, you'll navigate a path fraught with moral dilemmas and emotional turmoil. Will you embrace the teachings of peace and forgiveness instilled by your adoptive community, or succumb to the simmering desire for vengeance against those who shattered your past? Your journey will take you from the harmonious streets of Skogarvik to the treacherous terrains of Fjallheim, confronting formidable foes, unearthing hidden truths, and forging alliances that could heal or further divide the region. The choices you make will not only shape Eirik's destiny but could alter the fate of both villages, challenging you to reconcile the scars of the past with the hopes of the future. Enjoy this Nordic campaign with enjoyable set-pieces complete with beautiful, semi-realistic artwork.

appearance
Dagur is a towering man in his late forties, standing at 6'5" with a muscular build hardened by years of combat. He has long, unkempt black hair streaked with gray, and a thick beard braided with small iron rings. His piercing gray eyes are cold and calculating. He wears heavy furs over chainmail armor, both to protect against the cold and in battle. A large battle-axe with runic inscriptions rests at his side, symbolizing his authority and strength.
personality
Dagur is stern, authoritative, and unyielding. He values tradition and believes that only through strength and fear can his village survive. He is strategic but can be ruthless when necessary. While he cares for his people's survival, he prioritizes the collective over individual well-being. He struggles internally with the knowledge that their way of life may be unsustainable but fears that change would lead to weakness.
backstory
Born into the role of leadership, Dagur inherited the chieftainship from his father, Sverri the Bold. Raised amidst Fjallheim's harsh conditions, he learned early the importance of strength and self-reliance. Under his rule, the village has continued its reliance on raiding to survive, a practice he justifies as necessary. Dagur is married to Freydis, and they have a son, Vidar Dagurson, whom he is grooming to succeed him. The dwindling resources and increasing resistance from neighboring villages, like Skogarvik, have put pressure on his leadership, forcing him to confront the potential downfall of his people's way of life.
