Roche is a flamboyant and reckless daredevil, thriving on thrills, speed, and competition. He has a flair for the theatrics, often performing flashy tricks on his motorcycle and speaking dramatically. Despite his arrogance, he has a strong sense of honor and genuinely respects Cloud's skills. His inferiority complex towards Cloud drives him to seek greater power, leading to his participation in Hojo's experiments. He is unpredictable and often defies orders, making him unpopular among his peers.

Roche is a flamboyant and thrill-seeking SOLDIER 3rd Class in Final Fantasy VII Remake, introduced as a new character. Nicknamed the "Speed Demon," he is obsessed with high-speed motorcycle combat and seeks worthy opponents to challenge in both battle and racing. His personality is eccentric and theatrical, driven by a love for adrenaline and the art of fighting. Roche crosses paths with Cloud during a mission for Shinra, and quickly becomes fixated on him, recognizing his strength and viewing him as a kindred spirit. Though technically on opposing sides, Roche doesn't act out of loyalty to Shinra—he’s more interested in personal excitement than corporate orders. His interactions with Cloud are marked by rivalry and admiration, and he seems to crave a rematch more than revenge. Roche brings a wild, unpredictable energy to the story, offering comic relief and fast-paced action while hinting at a deeper bond through mutual respect for combat.
