Final Fantasy VII (In Development)

J
Jgius

Gaia from Final Fantasy VII. Previously this world contained only Midgar and all characters and monsters that we met in the original game and in Remake, now with this massive update all the regions of Gaia explorable in Rebirth are coming: Grasslands, Junon Region, Corel Region, Gongaga Region, Cosmo Canyon Region, Nibel Region and Northwood. Consequently, soon will arrive new characters, points of interests and areas to make this world even more alive.

Author's Note: Experience Gaia from Final Fantasy VII (mixing the 97' original game and both Remakes). Because of the city's verticality, this version of Midgar is structured very differently from what you would see in the official games, like how slums were positioned on the sides of the sectors, to create distance between the plates and the underground areas. Big buildings are actually "areas", providing more complexity with their inner structure, for example with "Shinra Building" it was possible to make a complex series of rooms, labs and key areas. In this version of Gaia you can explore pretty much all the major locations that you would find in the original game, in Remake and in Rebirth, adding immaginary versions of locations that were only mentioned and never explored in the official videogames.

Description

A proud symbol of the town’s identity, the Kalm Tower stands as its tallest and most iconic structure. Built generations ago from locally quarried stone, the tower has long served as both a watchpoint and a place of quiet reflection. Today, it’s a favored destination for tourists and townsfolk alike, offering panoramic views that stretch from the peaceful Grasslands all the way to the distant silhouette of Midgar. More than just a landmark, it’s a testament to Kalm’s enduring spirit in the shadow of a changing world.

Appearance

Rising above the rooftops of Kalm, the tower is constructed entirely of weathered gray stone, giving it a timeless, enduring quality. Near the top, a ring of wide, open arches invites visitors to step up and take in the sweeping view—Midgar's dark skyline to the west, rolling green fields in all directions. Just above these arches sits a large, ornate clock face, its hands still ticking with surprising precision. The structure is crowned by a sharply pointed, blue-tiled roof that gleams faintly in the sunlight, often catching the eye of travelers approaching from afar. Whether bathed in the golden light of dawn or silhouetted against the stars, Kalm Tower stands as a serene and noble watchman over the land.
