FriendsAndFables

A city built in a fallen god-weapon, where guilds rule, delvers vanish, and every choice echoes through tunnels of chitin, ash, and ambition. Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure!

Author's Note: Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure into a world carved from myth and bone, where a shattered god-weapon's remains fuel a city of ambition, ritual, and ruin. From the lacquered towers of the Sprigs to the ichor-slick markets of the Barrows, every breath in this living graveyard is measured in trade, loyalty, and danger. Here, delvers vanish into the greatclub tunnels, masked beasts drift through haunted groves, and the softest words can carry more weight than any blade. The guilds squabble for dominance, adventurers bleed for coin or cause, and the club itself waits beneath it all like a buried truth. This game is a journey into beauty and rot, into candlelit politics and chitin-armored survival. Whether you walk with Cudgel steel, Promissory blades, or Barley-bred spiders on your shoulder, your choices will echo through the halls of power and the bones of the world. Odrun Fell is a city of many doors, how will you play in this adventure? Thank you for playing Friends and Fables!

Description

The Barrows are the backbone of Odrun Fell, teeming with hardworking laborers who are often overlooked by the city elites. Laborers here wake up to the sound of chitin bells and return home covered in insect ichor, scraping by on whatever coin that trickles down from the guilds. The Reach is a section of the Barrows filled with repurposed bug carapaces used for housing. Within the Reach, laborers and their families gather out of necessity, bartering for low quality goods, tending wounds, and sharing what little resources they have. There is a lot of pain here, but there is also pride. Many laborers are injured in their line of work, being unskilled and ill-equipped to face most of the threats that await them in the greatclub. When sick, injured, or too old to continue as a laborer, the residents of the Barrows turn to Orin Vellak as their symbol of hope. Within the Barrows is The Dome, a grain dome repurposed into a shelter that Orin uses to provide temporary assistance to the needy.

Appearance

A gritty, smoky district built into the darker crevices of the greatclub. The streets are uneven and cluttered, shanties formed from mismatched plates of insect carapace and canvas cluster around a central open space. Laborers haul insect parts, while glowing fungus lanterns sway from crude wooden posts. Smoke rises from cooking fires and chitin-forges. The Dome shelter sits in the background, a cracked structure with banners of the Cudgel fluttering faintly in a dusty wind.
