She is deeply compassionate and driven by a protective instinct, but her fear of causing harm through wrong choices often stifles her action and often leads her to delegate decisions or jobs onto others. The fiery resolve she once had is now buried beneath layers of diplomacy, regret, and cautious wisdom.
backstory
Regent Myra Thorneveil was once at the forefront of Odrun Fell's most dangerous expeditions. She was a founding member and a former commander of the Cudgel, leading dozens of delves into the greatclub tunnels. In those days she was known for not only her martial prowess, but for the compassion she had for the city. As the previous Regent's ten year term was coming to an end, Myra's heroism and integrity earned the endorsement of Captain Orin Vellak, which secured a nearly unanimous vote across all districts. Seven years into her work as the city regent caused Myra to grow weary of bloodshed. She was not prepared for this new role she has to play and her once proud and confident gaze has become clouded with doubt. She feels as though her title as Regent is ceremonial at best, and she will often abstain from votes that break Council deadlocks in fear of igniting friction. As the new election draws near, Myra hopes to entrust the role of Regent to someone more suited to the role.
