Fantasy
A city built in a fallen god-weapon, where guilds rule, delvers vanish, and every choice echoes through tunnels of chitin, ash, and ambition. Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure!
Author's Note: Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure into a world carved from myth and bone, where a shattered god-weapon's remains fuel a city of ambition, ritual, and ruin. From the lacquered towers of the Sprigs to the ichor-slick markets of the Barrows, every breath in this living graveyard is measured in trade, loyalty, and danger. Here, delvers vanish into the greatclub tunnels, masked beasts drift through haunted groves, and the softest words can carry more weight than any blade. The guilds squabble for dominance, adventurers bleed for coin or cause, and the club itself waits beneath it all like a buried truth.
This game is a journey into beauty and rot, into candlelit politics and chitin-armored survival. Whether you walk with Cudgel steel, Promissory blades, or Barley-bred spiders on your shoulder, your choices will echo through the halls of power and the bones of the world. Odrun Fell is a city of many doors, how will you play in this adventure?

appearance
A massive male orc with slate-green skin and a physique carved from years of hauling crates and breaking up brawls. His armor is ceremonial chitin reinforced with barbed plates, polished daily until it gleams under the Spindle’s market glow. Along both arms are vivid tattoos—four birds in different poses, each rendered with delicate black linework and splashes of colorful ink: a red-throated crier, a pale-winged dusk flyer, a squat alley jay, and a regal crested warbler. His eyes are a warm brown, unreadable but never cruel. A braided cord of feathers, charms, and small bones hangs from the hilt of his weapon, swaying with every silent step he takes around the stall.
personality
Groosk is a quiet sentinel, not out of shyness but purpose. He speaks plainly and only when needed, often leaving would-be thieves, gossipers, or flirtatious traders with a curt nod or the slow tightening of his grip on his halberd. His loyalty is absolute once earned, but he has little tolerance for false charm or underhanded dealings—especially from the Promissory types he’s watched grow soft with power. Yet beneath the armor and duty is a surprisingly gentle soul. Groosk adores birds and tends to them with ritualistic care, believing each one carries a fragment of peace the world cannot corrupt. He has named each bird after one of his ancestors and tattoos their likeness on his arms not as trophies, but as tiny guardians. To those who look past his broad shoulders and stone-faced silence, Groosk reveals a surprisingly poetic worldview—one built on reverence, protection, and the small joys of a life lived close to family.
backstory
Groosk Talbar was born in the shadow of the Promissory’s stalls. He was raised by a sharp-tongued ex-smuggler who taught him to recognize honest coin from bloodied lucre, his grandmother. He enlisted with the city’s defenders as a young orc. Though offered a coveted post among the Cudgel’s elite tunnel escorts, Groosk surprised his superiors by turning it down. He chose instead to remain in the Spindle, protecting the high-end monster-parts stall his grandmother once helped smuggle goods through. Guarding the stall may not earn him glory, but it grants him what matters: proximity to kin, consistency of work, and the calming routine of feeding his birds before dawn. While others might chase fame into the greatclub or rise through the guild ranks, Groosk doesn't really care. Groosk is more interested in taking care of his birds and guarding his stall than anything else.
