Fantasy
A city built in a fallen god-weapon, where guilds rule, delvers vanish, and every choice echoes through tunnels of chitin, ash, and ambition. Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure!
Author's Note: Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure into a world carved from myth and bone, where a shattered god-weapon's remains fuel a city of ambition, ritual, and ruin. From the lacquered towers of the Sprigs to the ichor-slick markets of the Barrows, every breath in this living graveyard is measured in trade, loyalty, and danger. Here, delvers vanish into the greatclub tunnels, masked beasts drift through haunted groves, and the softest words can carry more weight than any blade. The guilds squabble for dominance, adventurers bleed for coin or cause, and the club itself waits beneath it all like a buried truth.
This game is a journey into beauty and rot, into candlelit politics and chitin-armored survival. Whether you walk with Cudgel steel, Promissory blades, or Barley-bred spiders on your shoulder, your choices will echo through the halls of power and the bones of the world. Odrun Fell is a city of many doors, how will you play in this adventure?

appearance
A small gnome with an enormous presence, Tharn Cogglevine has a wild puff of lavender-dyed hair held up with bone pins carved from centipede mandibles. His skin gleams faintly with flecks of embedded glitter-chitin. One of his eyes is a glass orb with a whirring internal lens system that clicks and projects images or magnifies details at the flick of a brow. His layered robes ripple like beetle wings, stitched together from live silk and accented by grafted, twitching antennae that serve no purpose but drama. Small jeweled insects crawl lazily over his cuffs and shoulders, entirely alive and entirely decorative.
personality
Tharn is a glittering whirlwind of eccentricity and ego, prone to melodrama, high praise (for himself), and sudden bursts of deeply technical jargon. He speaks of his pieces as if they were divas performing in an eternal opera, and he insists every commissioned item has “emotional resonance” with the client. Yet behind the showmanship is an obsessive craftsman who weeps over imperfect solder points and hums lullabies to his beetle-hatched brooches. He’s entirely loyal to the Barleys, not out of politics but out of aesthetic alignment—he views their pursuit of perfection and consistency as “the ultimate medium.” He avoids conflict by vanishing behind a curtain of pheromone-masking perfume or playing innocently with one of his glimmering, skittering brooches until the tension dissipates. Despite his pretensions, he’s surprisingly kind to young or unknown artists, often slipping them gold-thread beetle lace or a length of breathing silk “just to see what they’ll dream.”
backstory
Tharn Cogglevine began his work in bio-salvage, extracting chitin plates and silk sacs from downed tunnel beasts under Ashcoat oversight. His fascination with insect structure took an odd turn after a near-fatal silk-gland rupture fused a discarded thorax to his shoulder. This accident gave him both a trademark look and an idea. Fashion that lives. He began crafting wearable, magical, living art pieces, luminescent collars spun from living beetle wings, belts that pulsed with the rhythm of silk-spider hearts, and cloaks that shimmered with a mood-reactive carapace. The Barelys noticed that Tharn was growing in popularity among eccentric nobles in the Sprigs and quickly installed him as their "Artificer Laureate of Aesthetic Continuity," which was a title he both invented and insists be announced in full.
