Fantasy
A city built in a fallen god-weapon, where guilds rule, delvers vanish, and every choice echoes through tunnels of chitin, ash, and ambition. Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure!
Author's Note: Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure into a world carved from myth and bone, where a shattered god-weapon's remains fuel a city of ambition, ritual, and ruin. From the lacquered towers of the Sprigs to the ichor-slick markets of the Barrows, every breath in this living graveyard is measured in trade, loyalty, and danger. Here, delvers vanish into the greatclub tunnels, masked beasts drift through haunted groves, and the softest words can carry more weight than any blade. The guilds squabble for dominance, adventurers bleed for coin or cause, and the club itself waits beneath it all like a buried truth.
This game is a journey into beauty and rot, into candlelit politics and chitin-armored survival. Whether you walk with Cudgel steel, Promissory blades, or Barley-bred spiders on your shoulder, your choices will echo through the halls of power and the bones of the world. Odrun Fell is a city of many doors, how will you play in this adventure?

appearance
A middle-aged Half-Orc Ranger with a thick, muscular build, Harnix has a milky white eye from a venom burn and a sharp pale gold eye. His lower left leg is a segmented chitin prosthetic, and he wears practical layers of dust-worn leather and spider-silk wraps, accented by a crimson sash. A harness across his chest carries trapwire and a blunted delving hook. He has a rugged appearance, with scars that tell stories of survival, and he carries the scent of ash, old metal, and bug wax.
personality
Harnix has the weary temperament of a man who has buried too many friends and too many childhood dreams. He is blunt but not unkind, firm but never cruel. Discipline, to him, is love—not softness. He believes in giving children the tools to survive, not shielding them from the world’s bite. Beneath his gruff exterior is a current of fierce protectiveness, especially toward the orphans who show spark or stubbornness. He dislikes politics, guild games, and pity in all forms. His trust must be earned, but once given, it is unshakable. Harnix listens more than he speaks, and when he does speak, it is always with purpose. The older children respect him like a grizzled war-chief; the younger ones fear him a little, until they realize he never raises his voice without reason.
backstory
Harnix was one of the first orphans recorded at the Cradle of Hooks, his name carved near the top of the board—though it was crossed out in red for nearly a year. Left for dead during a botched delve, he clawed his way back through the tunnels with a shattered leg and the remains of his crew. That crawl changed him. He never blamed the Cradle for pushing him too early; instead, he returned with a limp and purpose. Taking up the mantle of trainer and caretaker, Harnix now oversees the daily routines of the newest orphans—many of whom are children of the same delvers he once bled beside. He teaches survival through necessity, discipline through pain, and camaraderie through shared burdens. Though he officially answers to no guild, the Cudgel respects him and the Barleys tolerate him—mostly because the children he trains are more likely to survive.
