Fantasy
A city built in a fallen god-weapon, where guilds rule, delvers vanish, and every choice echoes through tunnels of chitin, ash, and ambition. Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure!
Author's Note: Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure into a world carved from myth and bone, where a shattered god-weapon's remains fuel a city of ambition, ritual, and ruin. From the lacquered towers of the Sprigs to the ichor-slick markets of the Barrows, every breath in this living graveyard is measured in trade, loyalty, and danger. Here, delvers vanish into the greatclub tunnels, masked beasts drift through haunted groves, and the softest words can carry more weight than any blade. The guilds squabble for dominance, adventurers bleed for coin or cause, and the club itself waits beneath it all like a buried truth.
This game is a journey into beauty and rot, into candlelit politics and chitin-armored survival. Whether you walk with Cudgel steel, Promissory blades, or Barley-bred spiders on your shoulder, your choices will echo through the halls of power and the bones of the world. Odrun Fell is a city of many doors, how will you play in this adventure?

appearance
A lean and composed human fighter with a stillness that unnerves even seasoned nobles. His estate-issued uniform fits flawlessly: dark grey, with gold stitching at the collar and a lacquered chitin half-cape across one shoulder. His skin is olive-toned, his jaw tight and clean-shaven, and his close-cropped hair a flat, charcoal black. He wears no jewelry or ornament, save for a single brass ring around his left thumb—an old estate token never explained. His boots are silent, and his eyes, a dull hazel, miss nothing. A slim baton rests at his hip, decorative in appearance, functional in enforcement. When he walks, he does so with the exact posture of the armor statues flanking the hall, back straight, eyes forward, weight centered. Alsem smells faintly of waxed leather and floor polish, and his presence is like a closing door—quiet, final, and utterly composed.
personality
Alsem is methodical to the point of ritual. He speaks softly, with clipped precision, and rarely volunteers opinion. He’s the kind of man who makes you feel like you’ve been measured and filed just by walking past. Though reserved, he’s fiercely protective of the estate’s stability—his loyalty is not to the nobility, but to the order of the hall itself. He dislikes chaos, last-minute schedule changes, and nobles who treat servants as furniture. Alsem believes in precision: that a well-ordered environment keeps danger at bay, and that the hall must always breathe evenly. He is unmoved by titles, but he respects discipline and honesty. Though never cruel, he can be unsettlingly cold when enforcing rules. He is aware that every corridor has an echo, and every echo has a source. He tracks them all.
backstory
Alsem Virelock never wanted to be seen. Born to a footman and a laundry worker in the lower wings of the Sprigs, he spent his childhood moving laundry through the servant tunnels of the estate, listening more than speaking. He joined the estate guard not out of ambition but because his quiet nature made him a perfect candidate for the halls where silence mattered more than muscle. Over time, his discipline and disinterest in politics earned him the trust of the Regent’s inner stewards. Alsem was promoted to Hall Warden of the Converging Hall—a thankless position that requires the memory of a cartographer and the patience of a shadow. He manages the schedules of guards and nobles alike, ensuring no meetings clash, no dangerous encounters happen by accident, and that secrets remain unspoken. Some whisper that Alsem knows more about the estate’s private tensions than the Council itself, but he would never say. He just ensures everyone reaches the correct door.
