A city built in a fallen god-weapon, where guilds rule, delvers vanish, and every choice echoes through tunnels of chitin, ash, and ambition. Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure!

Author's Note: Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure into a world carved from myth and bone, where a shattered god-weapon's remains fuel a city of ambition, ritual, and ruin. From the lacquered towers of the Sprigs to the ichor-slick markets of the Barrows, every breath in this living graveyard is measured in trade, loyalty, and danger. Here, delvers vanish into the greatclub tunnels, masked beasts drift through haunted groves, and the softest words can carry more weight than any blade. The guilds squabble for dominance, adventurers bleed for coin or cause, and the club itself waits beneath it all like a buried truth. This game is a journey into beauty and rot, into candlelit politics and chitin-armored survival. Whether you walk with Cudgel steel, Promissory blades, or Barley-bred spiders on your shoulder, your choices will echo through the halls of power and the bones of the world. Odrun Fell is a city of many doors, how will you play in this adventure? Thank you for playing Friends and Fables!

appearance
A short male gnome rogue with a wiry frame, coppery hair cut unevenly, and faint soot smudges tracing the corners of his mouth. He wears a patchwork vest lined with tiny hooks, beetle-shell buttons, and hidden pockets stuffed with tools, nuts, and thread. His mismatched, soft-soled boots are perfect for sneaking. Two thin silver rings loop through his left eyebrow, and his pale blue eyes flit like a squirrel sizing up a climb. He smells faintly of peppermint and fungus dust, and his voice is nasal and fast, often rising when he’s trying to sound braver than he feels. Pellin prefers perches—roof beams, window frames, the edge of the inn’s old signpost—speaking from places just out of reach, where he can stay laughing even if things go south.
personality
Pellin is the kind of nuisance that grins before you know you’ve been insulted. He’s quick, clever, and constantly chewing on dry bits of leaf or root to keep his nerves steady. Though cowardly in combat, he thrives on chaos—especially if it gives him a chance to steal something shiny or deflate someone pompous. He jokes to disarm but listens to everything, and beneath the humor is a simmering bitterness at being cast aside. Loyalty to the bandits at Lanternrest is genuine, but it comes with caveats—he’s not dying for anyone, not again. Pellin hates the greatclub tunnels with a passion, calling them “the stone throat that eats you slow.” He prefers the forest’s dangers; at least you can run. His stories always change in the telling, and he’s never where you expect him to be.
backstory
Pellin Varro, once a trap-springer for the Ashcoat salvage crews, made his living crawling through vent-holes and beetle husks to retrieve chitin scrap and loose coin. Small hands and a quicker mouth kept him alive, but one day he got cocky and slipped into a Promissory trade tunnel to filch a few unmarked vials. He barely made it out with his life—and a hex on his name. Branded a liability, Pellin fled into the Murkrun, nursing his bruises and pride until he stumbled upon the glowing shell of Lanternrest. The gang there needed eyes, hands, and someone small enough to hide in the rafters when things got messy. Pellin fit the role like a glove. Now he rigs the inn’s outer paths with subtle alarms—fungus chimes, trip-mosses, glass-lure beetles—and keeps a mental ledger of every wagon and weapon that passes through. He may not be muscle, but he’s the reason the Lanternrest always knows what’s coming.
