Fantasy
A city built in a fallen god-weapon, where guilds rule, delvers vanish, and every choice echoes through tunnels of chitin, ash, and ambition. Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure!
Author's Note: Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure into a world carved from myth and bone, where a shattered god-weapon's remains fuel a city of ambition, ritual, and ruin. From the lacquered towers of the Sprigs to the ichor-slick markets of the Barrows, every breath in this living graveyard is measured in trade, loyalty, and danger. Here, delvers vanish into the greatclub tunnels, masked beasts drift through haunted groves, and the softest words can carry more weight than any blade. The guilds squabble for dominance, adventurers bleed for coin or cause, and the club itself waits beneath it all like a buried truth.
This game is a journey into beauty and rot, into candlelit politics and chitin-armored survival. Whether you walk with Cudgel steel, Promissory blades, or Barley-bred spiders on your shoulder, your choices will echo through the halls of power and the bones of the world. Odrun Fell is a city of many doors, how will you play in this adventure?

appearance
A lean, sun-browned human bard with wind-tangled black hair tied in a red threadbare ribbon. She wears a patchwork coat stitched from salvaged tunnel silks and old uniforms, with calloused hands and ink-stained nails. Nera carries a beetle-shell fiddle with a single glowing thread for a string, and her dark, glassy blue eyes reflect firelight like wet stone. Around her neck hangs a whistle carved from molted mandible, and her scratchy yet powerful voice carries the weight of memory. Her presence is steady, like the heartbeat of the Reach itself.
personality
Nera is sharp-eyed, fiercely witty, and generous to a fault. Her humor cuts fast, but her sympathy runs deep. She’s quick to notice who’s limping or who’s lost coin, and quicker still to act like she didn’t just slip them help. Nera distrusts the powerful and their promises, but she’s no cynic—just a realist who knows songs don’t fill bellies but can keep someone walking a little longer. She believes the Reach is sacred, not because of gods, but because of the people who refuse to let each other fall. When tempers rise, she often plays her fiddle instead of intervening—letting the music cool the heat. Though never formally trained, her words have weight here, and many see her as an unofficial voice of the plaza. Nera has no interest in rising above the Barrows; her pride lies in helping it stand.
backstory
Nera Collinspire was born in the Barrows to a broken-voiced balladeer and a tunnel hauler who vanished in the Handle collapse of her eighth year. Since then, she’s made her life inside the Reach—first as a scrawny chorus girl for food vendors who paid in scraps, then as a street performer with a makeshift fiddle built from beetle sinew and salvage wood. She plays stories more than songs—ballads of delves gone wrong and right, of neighbors who didn't come back, and those who beat the odds. Nera refused every offer to join a guild, mistrusting the Cudgel’s recruitment lines and the Promissory’s “entertainment commissions.” Instead, she stayed put, giving rhythm to the Reach’s long memory. She’s now a fixture at the edge of the plaza where traders and children alike know her tune is both a warning and a welcome, a way to remember who's still fighting to stay whole.
