Fantasy
A city built in a fallen god-weapon, where guilds rule, delvers vanish, and every choice echoes through tunnels of chitin, ash, and ambition. Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure!
Author's Note: Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure into a world carved from myth and bone, where a shattered god-weapon's remains fuel a city of ambition, ritual, and ruin. From the lacquered towers of the Sprigs to the ichor-slick markets of the Barrows, every breath in this living graveyard is measured in trade, loyalty, and danger. Here, delvers vanish into the greatclub tunnels, masked beasts drift through haunted groves, and the softest words can carry more weight than any blade. The guilds squabble for dominance, adventurers bleed for coin or cause, and the club itself waits beneath it all like a buried truth.
This game is a journey into beauty and rot, into candlelit politics and chitin-armored survival. Whether you walk with Cudgel steel, Promissory blades, or Barley-bred spiders on your shoulder, your choices will echo through the halls of power and the bones of the world. Odrun Fell is a city of many doors, how will you play in this adventure?

appearance
A wiry human wizard with curly chestnut hair, tousled and held back by a waxed silk headband. His storm-grey eyes flicker with curiosity, often scanning for unseen glyphs. He wears patchwork robes of saffron and indigo, adorned with faintly glowing sigils that activate when flustered. He carries a leather-bound journal and a crooked wand made from beetle-horn, with oversized damp boots. He has a faint scent of rosemary, lamp soot, and old ink, moving with nervous energy and cautious reverence.
personality
Emric is endlessly curious and surprisingly grounded. He’s charming in a bumbling, eager way—never quite graceful, never quite quiet, but always sincere. He asks questions with wide eyes and a quick pen, often forgetting his own safety while observing magical phenomena. Though he carries a quiet anxiety under pressure, he turns panic into problem-solving and jokes into coping. He’s the sort who’d trip over a root while explaining how owl behavior defies known conjuration theory, then thank you for catching him. Emric is warm, attentive, and deeply empathetic, especially toward creatures and people twisted by forces they don’t understand. He respects boundaries, values honesty, and never speaks down to others, no matter their background. His likability isn’t charisma—it’s comfort. He’s the kind of wizard who offers tea before a lecture, and insists the tea leaves might be scrying-capable if you squint just right.
backstory
Emric Thornecoil was born in the Spindle of Odrun Fell to a minor family of magical fabric-dyers with more ambition than actual arcane talent. He showed early aptitude for enchantment, but instead of training at an academy, he taught himself using old merchant grimoires and discarded scroll scraps. Fascinated with pattern, resonance, and insect-based leyline fluctuations, he became obsessed with the oddities emerging from the greatclub. When reports of Bonebellow Hollow began surfacing—owlbears behaving like hive drones, bones arranged in mathematically improbable spirals—he packed up his satchel, apologized to his three elderly aunts, and walked out the door. Emric isn’t seeking power or fame. He wants to know why it’s happening. To him, the arcane is a conversation, and Bonebellow Hollow is shouting. Now, barely keeping his robes clean, he’s hoping to get just close enough to listen without being eaten.
